Mountain Village Retreat and Stained Glass Workshop

Enjoy a quiet weekend at The House on Water Street in the historic village of Sperryville, Virginia, and indulge your creative desires at a stained glass workshop in the studio of artist Patricia Brennan of De’Dannan Glassworks, tucked away in Old Hollow, just five minutes from the house.

In the foothills of the luminous Blue Ridge Mountains, with a minimum of four people (maximum of six), you can enjoy your own weekend workshop, learning a variety of stained glass techniques. On Saturday afternoon you will have a 3 hour workshop, learning to make a Moravian star from beveled glass. You will be using the copper foil technique and assemble the bevels with a soldering iron.  All tools and supplies are included. This workshop is a great way to learn about stained glass with your friends, make fun memories and take a star home with you.

You and your friends/family will have full and private use of a four bedroom, two bathroom renovated 1900 village farm house. A self-serve continental breakfast is left in the house for you to enjoy at your leisure. In your free time visit wineries, a distillery, gift and antique shops and art galleries. Gourmet restaurants with casual dining are just around the corner, or a very short drive, from The House on Water Street. The kitchen is fully furnished and we have excellent local stores if you choose to eat at your home away from home.

Available year round. 4 person minimum, 6 person maximum.

$229 per person
