Wild foods contain an abundant supply of nutrients readily available and easily assimilated into the body. They also provide some of the wildness of life which connects us back to our roots. Plant identification will be the focus as we stroll the paths to gather flowers, leaves and roots.  We will collect many of the wild medicinal and edible plants from the land.  Some of the plants used to create an amazing meal of wild foods will be collected in advance to insure time to prepare and consume the meal.

Students will participate in the collection and preparation of the following:
Candied violets
Chickweed & Chive Butter
Nettle Vinegar
Plantain Succus
Poke & Dock Sauté
Ramp Stir-fry
Roasted Dandelion Roots
